Do you have what it takes to be part of The Devils Advocates? We currently have 2-3 openings within our GRAW Squad. Interested parties should have a high level of shooting skills, teamwork, communication and the ability to play 5+ times/week from 9:00pm est - approx. 12:00am est.
The Devils Advocates, founded over 4 years ago, are looking to fill a few limited spots on our GR Squad. We play mainly Seige No booms, half booms, blind seige and 4v4. We have always been one of the most respected clans around and take fair and honest gameplay to a new level. We do not often recruit because our team is comprised of very dedicated bunch of core players that have been with us for along time.
When we do take on a new player they feel at home within a few days and are given a high level of respect right out of the box. We have lost a couple players due to playing times (East Coast/West Coast. We like to start playing around 9est and don't usually turn in until midnight or later - everynight.
What we are looking for:
2-3 Dedicated team players - We need players that can play almost everynight from 9est to 11:00 or 12:00est. The recruited players once getting quickly acquainted with our stratagies will soon play more clan matches than ever dreamed possible (we have over 400 matches played on DC alone). These players will be considered full time core players. We expect that any TDA players are honest and fair. We do a bit of trash talking when needed but usually this is when joking with teams we have been playing with for years.
We would like Veteren players but will take a serious look at newcomers that really shine.
Below I have listed some of our recruiting process; although we play for fun, we have found that a little structure is a nice thing to have.
Recruiting:
Note: Starting into the recruiting process requires TDA Management approval.
Recruiting for TDA Division Members:
• Once the need is clear and approved we will start looking at players that fit our team’s needs. These needs include but are not limited to a positive attitude, fair level of ability, dedication to the game and availability.
• If a gamer fits the description of what TDA is looking for, it is time to go to the next step.
• At this point the TDA Management will make an announcement to the entire team via Xbox Live and our team forums. (Both are required). The announcement will read:
“TDA’s _(division name here)_ is currently looking at __(gamers name here)__ as a potential recruit. Please give me feedback regarding any positive or negative feelings in reference to this player. This feedback must be received within 1 week of this message.”
• This announcement will be active for a minimum of 1 week.
• TDA Management will take a look at all of the feedback and decide if the player should be eligible to participate in TDA’s Recruiting Process. If the player is approved, there will be a divisional vote. The divisional vote will consist of all current active members of that particular division.
• If the vote does not pass, the Captain in charge of the recruit will inform the player that they have not been accepted onto the team, wish them the best of luck.
• If the vote passes, an announcement to the entire team will be made prior to the official offer being extended to the future member.
• Once the announcement to the entire team is made the Welcoming conversation with the recruit can now take place. This announcement will consist of a description of the position and how to rank up, TDA Code of Conduct, Moral Imperatives and all general guidelines written or unwritten (Normal Practice). It is extremely important to inform the gamer that they are entering as a private for a minimum of 1 month. Throughout this 1 month period TDA can make a decision to keep them or let the gamer go – no questions asked.
• After this section is complete and the gamer fulfilled his/her roll as a PRIVATE for 1 month they can now rank up to a PRIVATE 1st Class. This is the official start as a full time member. TDA Dog Tags will now be awarded.

CAPTAIN
As a Captain, it is standard for you to begin taking a stronger leadership role. You are expected to run practices and clan matches. You must know all rules and regulations for the ladder/playoff/tournaments. Captains are responsible for checking all participating ladder forums to schedule and talk about future clan matches. The Captain is responsible for forwarding match results to the Operations Manager immediately after the completion of a match via TDA Forums. You must also ensure that the lower ranking members are well acquainted with the code of conduct. You will report any infractions directly to one of your Colonels. It is the responsibility of each Captain to ensure TDA strategies are followed. Strategies are developed by the TDA Strat Team. The Captain is empowered to make in-game decisions pertaining to settings and strats as they see fit. It is extremely important that when a strat is being altered there is good reason and available time to deploy the new strat. The empowerment is an earned privilege. This authority may be revoked at any time if the Colonels and Founders find that this privilege has been taken advantage of intentionally or unintentionally. The Captain position is a crucial part of TDA and team cohesiveness. Captains must work with all players of TDA and take member views very serious. Members must feel they are part of a team and not being directed by a Captain's personal motives. Captains ensure TDA members have fun and enjoy their time playing on TDA.
COLONEL
The rank of Colonel is to be taken very seriously by everyone in the lower ranks. A Colonel is responsible for running TDA. They must oversee all activity within the team, as well as helping others when needed. As a Colonel you will work with the Founders and Operations Manager to promote members to Captain of a division. You will ensure that all members have read and are playing by the Code of Conduct. Colonels are expected to meet with all divisions regularly to discuss any issues and the latest TDA news. They work closely with their Captains to create an enjoyable gaming experience for all. A Colonel is responsible for the actions of each Captain and is responsible for taking care of minor matters at such times. The Colonel is expected to report infractions directly to the TDA Founders. The Colonels are responsible for aligning all members with TDA's overall Team definition, goals and objectives. Colonels along with the Founders and Operation Manager will make decisions as to the addition of future divisions. If a Captain is not available you are responsible for running and reporting a match in the same fashion as a Captain.
FOUNDER
As a Founder you will have the added responsibility of dealing with all of TDA. You will be working closely with the Colonels. Captains and Colonels to make decisions that affect your divisions and TDA as a whole. Founders are also the leaders of many divisions and are responsible for all aspects of those divisions. A Founder must work closely with their management to oversee all activity within their divisions, and to ensure that all members are playing in a professional manner that represents TDA. Communication and decision making are the two most important qualities of a Founder. Often you will be pulled in many different directions so it is imperative that you exercise good judgment and patience. A Founder will deal with many stressful situations and must be fair but firm, and represent the best that TDA has to offer. As a Founder you have the ability to allow management to start new divisions. As always good communication is the key to success.
Strategy Team
A strategy team will be assembled for each Division in which TDA participates.
The team will consist of 5 members.
One member must possess the skills to transfer all completed strategies to picture format for posting on our website.
One member must be in charge of gathering information in our strategy suggestion section of our forums for use in strategy team meetings.
The Strat Team will meet a minimum of 1 time per week unless no additions or changes are needed.
The Strat Team is responsible for hosting update meetings to provide strategies to the Captains of their division. The Captains will then be in charge of carrying out the finalized strategies in practices and clan matches.
Captains will provide feedback to the Strat team as to how the strategies are working in the real world. |
